The DS-KAW60-2N is the power supply for Hikvision's DS-KAD706 two-wire video and audio distributor.
On a two-wire intercom system the distributor is what feeds the indoor stations, and the distributor itself needs its own supply — it is not powered from the door station or over the two-wire run. This is the matched unit for that job, so specifying it alongside the DS-KAD706 avoids the common situation of the distributor arriving on site with nothing to run it.
