The Fike 205-0001-B is the black version of the Sita Multipoint ASD addressable detector with a built-in sounder. It runs on Fike's Sita addressable protocol with the CIE-A-200, CIE-A-400, Duonet and Quadnet fire alarm control panels, and it comes with a matching black mounting base for interiors where a white detector would stand out.

One microprocessor-controlled device gives smoke, heat or combined smoke/heat detection plus an audible alarm. The detection mode is set on a DIL switch in the electronics module or through the commissioning software (or at the panel on Duonet and Quadnet), so it can be changed later if the use of a room changes. Each detector also has its own loop isolator and local input/output for control and switching.

Detection modes

• Smoke 1: fast response for high ceilings and free-burning fire risks, where ionisation detectors were traditionally used
• Smoke 2: optical-type setting for smouldering fire risks and escape routes
• Smoke 3: reduced sensitivity with a time delay for areas prone to nuisance alarms, such as hotel bedrooms with en-suite showers
• Heat 1: rate of rise
• Heat 2: standard fixed temperature, approx. 58°C (e.g. kitchens)
• Heat 3: high fixed temperature, approx. 90°C (e.g. commercial kitchens, boiler rooms)
