Fike 205-0003 Sita Multipoint ASD Addressable Detector

The Fike 205-0003 is the Sita Multipoint ASD addressable detector without a sounder, for Fike's Sita addressable fire alarm systems including the CIE-A-200, CIE-A-400, Duonet and Quadnet panels. A microprocessor in each head lets one detector handle smoke, heat or combined smoke/heat detection, so the same detector can be set to suit the fire risk in each room.

The detection mode is selected on a DIL switch in the electronics module or through the commissioning software, and can be changed at any time if the use of a room changes. On Duonet and Quadnet it can also be programmed at the panel. Every device has its own short circuit isolator and an auxiliary input/output for local control and switching.

Detection modes

• Smoke 1: fast response for high ceilings and free-burning fire risks, where ionisation detectors were traditionally used
• Smoke 2: optical-type setting for smouldering fire risks and escape routes
• Smoke 3: reduced sensitivity with a time delay for areas prone to nuisance alarms, such as hotel bedrooms with en-suite showers
• Heat 1: rate of rise
• Heat 2: standard fixed temperature, approx. 58°C (e.g. kitchens)
• Heat 3: high fixed temperature, approx. 90°C (e.g. commercial kitchens, boiler rooms)
