Hikvision DS-PDC10DM-EG2-WE AX PRO Wireless Outdoor Dual-Tech Curtain Detector

The Hikvision DS-PDC10DM-EG2-WE is the dual-technology version of the AX PRO outdoor curtain detector — the same narrow directional beam as the DS-PDC10AM-EG2-WE, with a 24 GHz microwave sensor added alongside the PIR.

Why add microwave to a directional beam

A narrow outdoor PIR beam is still exposed to the things that trouble any outdoor detector — sun warming a wall, a passing vehicle's headlights, foliage moving at the edge of the beam. Requiring both the PIR and the microwave to agree cuts nuisance triggers on exactly the exposed, unattended positions a gate or perimeter beam typically occupies.

Same precise coverage

5° directional beam, up to 10 m wall-mounted or 5 m ceiling-mounted — aimed across a gateway, a gap in a fence, or a path between buildings, the same way as the PIR-only version.

Pet immunity, wall-mounted only

Up to 12 kg when wall-mounted; no pet immunity when ceiling-mounted, looking straight down.

Anti-masking

Reports a fault if the lens is covered or sprayed before a break-in attempt is made.

Walk-test each sensor

Separate LEDs — green for PIR, red for microwave, green+orange for mask, blue for alarm — show which sensor responded during commissioning.

Built for the weather

IP65, rated −25°C to +60°C, with an included L-shaped bracket.

Five years on batteries

Two CR123A cells give up to five years standby, reduced in sustained low temperatures.

Worth knowing before you order

Choose this over the PIR-only version where the beam covers an exposed position — direct sun, passing traffic, nearby foliage — and reliability matters more than the modest price difference.

Still a directional beam, not an area detector. Aim it precisely across the crossing point you want covered.
