The iDS-TCM403-BI(G)/Y/POE/0832 is a road and entrance ANPR camera with an 8–32 mm motorised lens. It reads number plates at the kerb or at a barrier, at speeds from 5 to 120 km/h, and passes the plate to your controller or software so the gate opens for a vehicle on the allowlist. Hikvision quotes a plate recognition accuracy above 98% and a capture rate above 99% under its recommended installation and lighting conditions.

It takes power over PoE or from 12–24 V DC, has a built-in IR illuminator so it keeps reading plates after dark, and carries a Wiegand output for wiring straight into an access controller. Housing protection is IP67, IK10.

What is the reading range of this camera?

The 8–32 mm motorised lens is what sets the range: zoom in for a distant lane, out for a vehicle pulling up close. Hikvision lists the field of view as Horizontal: 41.9° to 15.1°, Vertical: 22.9° to 8.64°, Diagonal: 48.8° to 17.3°. Mounting height and angle matter as much as the lens, so tell us your lane layout and we will go through it with you.

Will it read plates at night?

Yes. It has a built-in IR supplement light (Up to 100m) and Hikvision rates minimum illumination at Color: 0.0005 Lux @ (F1.2, AGC ON).

Does it work with a barrier gate?

Yes. It has a Wiegand output and relay alarm outputs, so it can drive a barrier directly or hand the plate to a controller or to parking software. Tell us which barrier you are using and we will confirm the wiring before you order.

Does it recognise UK number plates?

Yes. Hikvision lists the UK and Ireland among the supported regions, alongside most of Europe.
