Honeywell Galaxy Remote Servicing Suite (Network enabled) with one Dongle
Product Features
Remote Servicing Suite (RSS) allows installers to program, service and maintain an installed alarm system locally or remotely via a PC.
User Management Suite (UMS) allows the end user to remotely manage their installed systems or provide simple Windows based control of a system locally
Honeywell Galaxy Remote Servicing Suite R057-CD-DG (Network Enabled, One Dongle)
The R057-CD-DG is the network-enabled edition of Honeywell's Galaxy Remote Servicing Suite (RSS), supplied with one user dongle. It gives installers the RSS toolset for Galaxy intruder alarm panels (off-line programming, real-time control and diagnostic reporting) in an edition intended for use over a network, with each user licensed by a dongle.
How the dongle licensing works
Honeywell states that user dongles are required for R057 and R058. One dongle comes with the R057-CD-DG. For each extra user, add a Honeywell YY0-0010 additional 1-user dongle, which works with both R057 and R058.
Servicing panels across multiple sites
RSS connects to Galaxy panels by RS-232, Ethernet or telephone line, so customer panels at different sites can be serviced from the office. For an IP connection, fit an E080-10 Ethernet module on Galaxy Dimension or an A083-00-10 Ethernet module on Galaxy Flex. The RSS database is managed by Microsoft SQL Server (MSDE), and operator access rights can be set up for the staff who use the software.
R057 or R056?
The Galaxy Remote Servicing Suite kit with licence (R056-CD-L) is the RSS software kit supplied with a licence. The R057-CD-DG is the network-enabled edition, licensed by user dongle. End users who want to manage their own system should look at the Galaxy User Management Suite (R058-CD-DG) instead. If you are unsure which edition suits your set-up, contact us before ordering.
