The TP-Link Omada SG2008P is a fanless desktop smart managed switch with eight gigabit RJ45 ports, of which ports 1-4 supply 802.3af/at PoE+. It has a 62 W PoE budget, ±6 kV surge protection and L2+ features including static routing.

What the SG2008P is for

This tp link PoE switch is a compact choice for a home office, small shop or a four-camera CCTV kit: power up to four IP cameras, access points or VoIP phones and connect an NVR, router and PCs on the other ports. See our PoE switch guide and range of network switches.

As a TP-Link Omada switch it can be managed centrally from an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller and the Omada App, or standalone through the web GUI, CLI and SNMP.

What you will need

The power adapter is included. You need network cable for each device and an Omada controller if you want central management. There are no SFP slots.

Does the SG2008P support PoE?

Yes, on ports 1-4, which are 802.3af/at PoE+. Ports 5-8 are data only.

What is the PoE budget of the SG2008P?

62 W in total, shared across the four PoE+ ports.

Is the SG2008P Omada compatible, and does it need a controller?

It is a TP-Link Omada switch and works with Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controllers. A controller is optional: it can also be managed standalone through the web GUI or CLI.

SG2008P or SG2210P?

The SG2210P has PoE+ on all eight ports, a 61 W budget and two SFP slots. The SG2008P has four PoE+ ports with 62 W and no SFP.

How quickly can I get it?

We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily. Orders placed before 2:30pm are normally dispatched for delivery within 1–2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. You can also collect in store from our trade counter — call first so we can confirm your order is ready. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
