The TP-Link Omada SG2218 is a fanless rackmount smart managed switch with 16 gigabit RJ45 ports and 2 gigabit SFP slots. It has L2+ features including static routing and draws a maximum of 12.3 W. It does not supply PoE.

What the SG2218 is for

This tp link managed switch is a quiet core or distribution switch for a small office: VLANs to separate staff, guest and CCTV traffic, static routing between them, and two SFP slots for fibre links to other cabinets. See our range of network switches.

What you will need

You need a 19-inch rack or cabinet (or a shelf, using the rubber feet), network cable for each device, SFP modules for any fibre uplinks, and an Omada controller if you want central management. Any PoE devices need their own power or a PoE injector.

Does the SG2218 support PoE?

No. The SG2218 is data only. The SG2218P is the version with 16 PoE+ ports and a 150 W budget.

Is the SG2218 Omada compatible, and does it need a controller?

It is a TP-Link Omada switch and works with Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controllers. A controller is optional: it can also be managed standalone through the web GUI or CLI.

Is the SG2218 fanless?

Yes. TP-Link list it as fanless, with a maximum power draw of 12.3 W.

Can the SG2218 route between VLANs?

It supports 32 IPv4/IPv6 static routes and 16 IP interfaces, so it can route between VLANs using static routes.

How quickly can I get it?
