The TP-Link Omada SG2452LP is a rackmount smart managed PoE switch with 32 gigabit PoE+ ports, 16 gigabit non-PoE RJ45 ports and 4 gigabit SFP slots. It has a 230 W PoE budget with up to 30 W per port, a fanless design for quiet operation and L2+ features including static routing.

What the SG2452LP is for

This tp link PoE switch suits larger CCTV and Wi-Fi installations where you need a lot of powered ports in one rack unit: up to 32 IP cameras or access points on PoE+, plus 16 extra ports for NVRs, PCs and printers. Add up the PoE draw of your devices first: the 230 W budget is shared, so 32 devices averaging around 7 W fits comfortably, but 32 high-power devices at 30 W would not. As a TP-Link Omada switch it can be managed centrally from an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller and the Omada App, or standalone through the web GUI, CLI and SNMP.

You need a 19-inch rack or cabinet (or a shelf, using the rubber feet), network cable for each device, SFP modules for any fibre uplinks, and an Omada controller if you want central management.

Yes. 32 of its ports are 802.3af/at PoE+, up to 30 W each. The other 16 RJ45 ports are data only.

Is the SG2452LP Omada compatible, and does it need a controller?
