TP-LINK OMADA - SL2428P - 24-Port 10/100 Mbps + 4-Port Gigabit Smart Managed Switch with 24-Port PoE+

SL2428P — TP-Link Omada 24-Port 10/100 Mbps + 4-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 24-Port PoE+

The TP-Link Omada SL2428P is a rackmount smart managed PoE switch with 24 10/100 Mbps PoE+ RJ45 ports, 2 gigabit RJ45 ports and 2 gigabit RJ45/SFP combo uplink ports. It has a 250 W PoE budget with all 24 access ports supplying PoE+.

What the SL2428P is for

This tp link PoE switch is a cost-effective way to power a large CCTV system: IP cameras rarely need more than 100 Mbps each, so 10/100 PoE+ access ports with gigabit uplinks to the NVR and core switch carry the load comfortably. The 250 W budget is shared across all 24 ports. See our PoE switch guide and range of network switches.

As a TP-Link Omada switch it can be managed centrally from an Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controller and the Omada App, or standalone through the web GUI, CLI and SNMP.

What you will need

You need a 19-inch rack or cabinet (or a shelf, using the rubber feet), network cable for each device, SFP modules if you use the combo ports for fibre, and an Omada controller if you want central management.

Buying from Zenith Security Co.

We are a supplier, not an installer. We will go through the SL2428P with you before you buy, including the PoE budget against your cameras and whether 10/100 access ports suit your devices, and depending on your requirements and your area we can recommend a qualified trade installer. We have been operating since 2012 and you can visit our trade counter in Wolverhampton.

Does the SL2428P support PoE?

Yes. All 24 10/100 Mbps access ports are 802.3af/at PoE+.

What is the PoE budget of the SL2428P?

250 W in total, shared across the 24 PoE+ ports.

Is the SL2428P Omada compatible, and does it need a controller?

It is a TP-Link Omada switch and works with Omada Hardware, Software or Cloud-Based Controllers. A controller is optional: it can also be managed standalone through the web GUI or CLI.

SL2428P or SG2428P?
