The TP-Link TL-SF1008D is an 8-port 10/100 Mbps unmanaged switch in a desktop case, with 8 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports. It is plug and play, with no PoE output, so it is a simple way to add wired ports to an office, shop or CCTV network.
What the TL-SF1008D is for
TP-Link make the TL-SF1008D as an unmanaged network switch: connect the cables and it works, with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX on every port, so there is nothing to configure. Each port runs at up to 100 Mbps, which suits PCs, printers, NVRs and other wired devices.
The TL-SF1008D does not supply PoE, so IP cameras and access points connected to it need their own power or a PoE injector. If you want to power cameras from the switch, look at our TP-Link PoE switches instead.

What you will need
You need network cable for each device (Cat5e or above for 100 Mbps links) and a mains socket for the switch. It gives no PoE, so powered devices need a separate supply.

Does the TL-SF1008D support PoE?
No. The TL-SF1008D is a non-PoE switch. Devices that need PoE must be powered separately, for example with a PoE injector, or you can choose a TP-Link PoE switch.
Is the TL-SF1008D managed, and does it need an Omada controller?
No. It is an unmanaged plug and play switch, so it has no web interface and does not need an Omada controller or any configuration.
How fast are the ports on the TL-SF1008D?
All 8 RJ45 ports are 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. If you need a different speed or port count, see the TL-SF1005D.
How big is the TL-SF1008D?
TP-Link list it at 134.5 x 79 x 22.5 mm, small enough to sit behind a desk or TV.
Can the TL-SF1008D be rack mounted?
No. The TL-SF1008D is a desktop switch. For a rack cabinet choose a rack-mountable model such as the TL-SG1016, TL-SG1024 or TL-SG1048.
Is the TL-SF1008D silent?
Yes. TP-Link list it as fanless, so it runs silently.
How quickly can I get it?
We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily.
