Ajax ocBridge Plus - Receiver for Wired and Hybrid Alarm Panels
ocBridge Plus is a receiver board that lets a wired or hybrid alarm panel from another maker use Ajax wireless detectors. The detectors talk to the board over two-way Jeweller radio, and the board passes their alarms to the panel through its zone terminals, wired as NO/NC, EOL or 2EOL loops. It is a way to add wireless detection to an existing wired system, for example in rooms where new cable would be hard to run. The board takes up to 99 Ajax detectors, runs on 8-14 V DC and is set up from a PC with the Ajax configurator software.

What does ocBridge Plus do?
It receives signals from Ajax wireless detectors and passes them to a wired or hybrid panel from another maker through zone terminals, so the panel sees each alarm as a normal zone input.
Which Ajax detectors can I use with it?
Ajax lists MotionProtect Jeweller, MotionProtect Plus Jeweller, CombiProtect Jeweller, DoorProtect Jeweller, GlassProtect Jeweller, FireProtect Jeweller, FireProtect Plus Jeweller, LeaksProtect Jeweller and the SpaceControl Jeweller key fob. Up to 99 detectors can be added.
How is it set up?
From a PC with the Ajax configurator software, connected to the board by mini USB. The same software is used for testing and firmware updates.
What power does it need?
8-14 V DC on its screw terminals. The mini USB port supplies 5 V but is only for set-up.
Should I choose ocBridge Plus or uartBridge?
ocBridge Plus connects to a panel through zone terminals and takes up to 99 detectors. uartBridge talks to a host system over a UART data link and takes up to 85 detectors.
Is it graded for insured systems?
Ajax does not list an EN 50131 security grade for ocBridge Plus. If the system must meet a grade, check this with your panel maker or insurer before ordering.
