Commercial CCTV equipment for Wolverhampton businesses. Zenith Security Co. supplies CCTV cameras, recorders, PoE networking and storage for shops, offices, warehouses, yards and car parks, from our showroom and trade counter on Dudley Road, Wolverhampton. We help you plan a system that records what you need to see, keep it compliant, and support it after you buy. We are a supplier, not an installer, and we can recommend a qualified trade installer if you need one.

We go through your site, camera positions, storage and network with you before you buy.
An authorised Hikvision partner, also stocking HiLook by Hikvision, Dahua and Uniview.
Before and after your purchase: by phone, remote session and at the counter. See our support page.
Cameras and recorders run live in our Wolverhampton showroom.
Start with what each camera has to do, not with the camera. For every area, decide whether you need to detect movement, recognise someone you know, or identify a stranger well enough for evidence. The standard used for this, IEC 62676-4, sets a minimum pixel density for each level:
A 4MP camera is 2560 pixels wide. To identify people (250 px/m), its view can be at most 2560 ÷ 250 ≈ 10 metres wide where people pass. A shop entrance 3 metres wide is well within that; a 25-metre yard is not, so the yard needs an observe-level camera plus an identify-level camera on the gate, a varifocal lens, or a higher-resolution model.
Bring your measurements to the counter and we'll work this out with you.
Identify-level views. Varifocal turret or dome cameras let you frame the doorway or counter tightly after mounting. See our turret vs bullet vs dome guide.
Wide-angle observe-level cameras. Dome cameras suit ceilings where a camera might be knocked.
Bullet cameras with long-range infrared, colour night vision (Hikvision ColorVu) for full-colour footage after dark, and PTZ cameras that pan, tilt and zoom to cover large areas.
ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) cameras read plates at entry and exit points. They need careful angle and lens choice, so call us before you order.
AI cameras (Hikvision AcuSense, Dahua WizSense) tell people and vehicles apart from animals and moving trees, so alerts and searches only show real events. Active deterrence models add a light and siren.
Browse IP cameras, or read the Hikvision IP camera buying guide and Dahua IP camera buying guide.
A commercial NVR has to handle three separate limits: the number of camera channels, the total incoming bandwidth, and the highest resolution it can record. Larger Hikvision and Dahua NVRs add more drive bays, so storage can grow with the site. Our Hikvision NVR buying guide and Dahua NVR buying guide explain how to pick one.
The ICO doesn't set a fixed retention period: keep footage only as long as you need it, and size the drives to match. Around 30 days is a common choice. Our CCTV storage calculator works out how much space that needs for your cameras, and we can supply surveillance hard drives fitted and formatted.
We supply PoE switches and networking, cable and power supplies to match the cameras.
Hik-Connect (Hikvision) and DMSS (Dahua) give phone access to live view, playback and alerts without opening ports on your router. Businesses with several sites can bring them together in video management software such as Hikvision HikCentral Professional or Dahua DSS. Installers can manage customers' systems remotely with Hik-Partner Pro.
If you get stuck, our Hikvision support guide and Dahua support guide cover the common faults.
A business using CCTV is processing personal data, so UK data protection law applies. The main points from the ICO's guidance on CCTV and video surveillance:
This is general information, not legal advice. Check the ICO's guidance for your own situation.
Commercial CCTV often links to other systems: an intruder alarm that triggers recording, door access events tied to camera footage, or a video intercom on the main entrance.
We've been supplying security equipment since 2012, with technical support before and after your purchase on 01902 902251. Installers can apply for a trade account for trade pricing. We supply the equipment rather than fit it; if you need the system installed, we can recommend a qualified trade installer depending on your requirements and area. It depends on how wide the view is. Identification needs 250 pixels per metre, so a 4MP camera can identify people across a scene up to about 10 metres wide. For a wider area, use a higher-resolution camera, a narrower lens or a second camera.
