Can I answer my door from my phone?
Yes. IP and 2-wire video intercoms from Hikvision and HiLook connect to the Hik-Connect app, so you can see and speak to visitors and release the door from anywhere with a data connection.
Can a video intercom use my existing intercom wiring?
Often, yes. A 2-wire system is designed to run over the two cores left by an older audio intercom, which saves re-cabling a finished building. Tell us what is there and we will confirm.
What is the difference between an intercom and access control?
An intercom lets a visitor call you so you can decide whether to let them in. Access control lets authorised people let themselves in with a fob, card, code or face. Most buildings with shared doors use both, and we supply both.
Will it work with an electric gate?
Yes. Door stations have relay outputs that trigger a gate controller or lock release. We will check the gate's input requirements with you.
