Zenith Security Co. · Trade counter and showroom, Dudley Road, Wolverhampton · Updated 18 September 2026
In short: Zenith Security Co. supplies intruder alarm systems — wireless and wired panels, detectors, sounders, keypads and complete kits — to installers, electricians, landlords and businesses in Wolverhampton and across the Black Country, from stock at our Dudley Road trade counter or by delivery anywhere in the UK. We stock Hikvision AX PRO, Pyronix, Texecom, Honeywell and Visonic, and we give UK-based technical support before and after the sale. We do not install, but we can recommend local installers.

Almost every alarm enquiry we take at the counter comes down to three questions: is the building already decorated (so wireless saves chasing walls), does anyone need to be told when it goes off (bells-only, app notification, or a monitored connection to an alarm receiving centre), and does an insurer or landlord specify a grade. Answer those and the panel more or less chooses itself.
| Property | Usual answer | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Occupied, decorated house or flat | Wireless kit — Hikvision AX PRO, Pyronix Enforcer or Texecom Ricochet | No cable runs; fitted in a day; app arming and notifications included |
| New-build, extension or full refurbishment | Wired panel with detectors run during first fix | Cheaper per zone, no batteries to change, nothing to go out of range |
| Shop, office or industrial unit | Wired or hybrid Grade 2 panel with a communicator | Insurers and landlords often require a graded, monitored system |
| Outbuilding, garage or workshop | Add wireless detectors to the house panel, or a small standalone kit | Avoids trenching cable across the garden |
| Replacing a dead panel on an existing wired system | Like-for-like panel or a hybrid that reuses the wiring | Keeps the existing detectors and cable in service |
Modern professional wireless alarms use the 868 MHz band reserved for alarm signalling, with encrypted two-way radio and supervised devices, so they are a different proposition from the DIY kits sold online. We stock three ranges:
For new-builds, commercial premises and anyone replacing an older wired system we stock alarm panels from Texecom Premier Elite, Pyronix Euro, Honeywell Galaxy and Accenta — the Accenta panel with LED keypad is still the straightforward replacement for thousands of Black Country houses wired in the 1990s and 2000s. Hybrid panels such as the Hikvision AX PRO Ultra hybrid with 16 wired zones let you keep the existing detectors and add wireless devices where the cable does not reach. Bring the old panel, or a photo of it, to the counter and we will match it.
A working alarm is more than the panel. We hold PIR and dual-technology detectors (dual-tech for rooms with pets, radiators or conservatory glass), door contacts and shock sensors, external sirens and bell boxes, internal sounders, keypads and proximity tags, standby batteries and alarm cable. Replacement batteries for wireless detectors and panel standby batteries are the two things installers run out of most, and both are on the shelf.

No — we are a supplier, not an installation company. We help you choose the panel, detectors, sounder and keypad, supply them from stock or by delivery, and support the installer afterwards. If you need someone to fit the system we can point you towards alarm installers who work across Wolverhampton and the Black Country.
For an occupied, decorated house a professional wireless system — Hikvision AX PRO, Pyronix Enforcer or Texecom Ricochet — is usually the right answer because nothing has to be chased into the walls. Wired panels remain the better choice for new-builds, extensions during first fix and most commercial premises, and hybrid panels take both.
Most home insurers only ask that an alarm is fitted and used. Where a policy specifies an approved system it usually means a Grade 2 (or higher) system installed and maintained by an NSI or SSAIB registered company. Check the policy wording first; we can tell you which panels are certified to the grade required and suggest an approved installer.
