One recorder for a whole campus or estate.
With a 64-channel Hikvision NVR, sixty-four cameras across a campus, estate or distribution centre record to one machine. You get one screen, one set of user accounts and one place to search when something happens.
What should I check before I order?
- Bandwidth first. 400 Mbps across 64 channels is about 6 Mbps per camera. That's fine for 2–4 MP at sensible frame rates, but not enough for sixty-four 8 MP cameras at full frame rate. This one figure decides whether a system this size works.
- RAID and hot-swap bays: RAID spreads recordings across drives, so a failed disk is a maintenance job, not lost evidence.
- Hard drives are sold separately. See our surveillance hard drives.
Our Hikvision NVR buying guide works through the bandwidth sums, RAID levels and the analytics tiers.
