Dahua HAC-EBW3802 - 8MP 4K HDCVI Infrared Fisheye Panoramic CCTV Camera

Dahua HAC-EBW3802 - 8MP 4K HDCVI IR Fisheye Panoramic CCTV Camera

The Dahua HAC-EBW3802 is an 8MP 4K HDCVI IR fisheye panoramic CCTV camera with a built-in microphone, a 180 degree horizontal angle of view and 15m of IR. It suits use as a shop CCTV camera: one fisheye camera covers a wide, open area such as a shop floor, car park or warehouse, and the image can be dewarped on supported Dahua recorders, the web interface and the mobile client. It uses HDCVI, so the video travels over standard coaxial cable.

Also listed as DH-HAC-EBW3802.

Key features

• 8MP (3840 x 2160) 4K HDCVI video. On PAL the camera outputs 3840 x 2160 at 12.5fps or 2560 x 1440 at 25fps. See Dahua HDCVI cameras explained.
• Panoramic fisheye lens with three installation modes (ceiling, ground and wall) and up to 95% sensor pixel utilisation.
• On-device lens distortion correction to a 16:9 full screen, in a Vertical and Horizontal mode (about H:170°, V:88°) or a Vertical mode (H:176°, V:73°).
• Dewarping: Dahua says more than 10 dewarping modes are available on select XVR models and in its mobile client.
• 120dB true WDR with 2D and 3D noise reduction, and 0.005Lux/F2.0 colour minimum illumination.
• Built-in microphone, and 15m of IR illumination from 3 IR LEDs.
• IP67 and IK10 housing, with an operating range of -30°C to +60°C.
• HDCVI and CVBS outputs at the same time on two BNC connectors; transmission up to 700m for 4K and 4MP over coaxial cable (Dahua lab figure).
• 12V DC power with a plus or minus 25% input voltage tolerance.

Common questions

Is the HAC-EBW3802 a 4K camera?

Yes. It is an 8MP camera with 3840 x 2160 effective pixels and a 1-channel HDCVI 4K video output. On PAL the 4K image runs at 12.5fps, and a 4MP mode runs at 25fps.

What will a fisheye camera see?

This fisheye camera has a lens with a horizontal angle of view of 180° and a vertical angle of 100°. Dahua says it offers a panoramic view in ceiling, ground and wall installation modes, so one camera covers a wide, open area.

Is it a 360 camera?

Dahua's datasheet carries a 360° badge for this fisheye model and describes a panoramic view in ceiling, ground and wall installation modes. The lens itself is specified at 180° horizontal by 100° vertical.

Does it record sound?

Dahua lists a built-in microphone, and says HDCVI can carry audio over the same coaxial cable as the video. Check that your recorder supports audio over HDCVI. If you record audio, display signage saying so.

Which recorder do I need?

A recorder with 4K HDCVI input. Dahua says the dewarping modes are available on select XVR models. See Dahua Penta-brid recorders explained, or tell us your recorder model and we will check.

Is it vandal-resistant and waterproof?

Dahua lists IP67 and IK10 ratings. It describes the IK10 rating as protection against vandalism, and IP67 as protection against water and dust, with an operating range of -30°C to +60°C.
