Common questions
Does the Dahua IPC-HF81230E-E come with a lens?
Dahua's datasheet gives a C/CS lens mount and lists no built-in lens, so treat it as a camera body that takes a C/CS-mount lens. The datasheet names optional Dahua lenses of 3.7 to 16mm (PLZ20C0-D) and 10.5 to 42mm (PLZ21C0-D). Contact us and we will check lens options with you before you order.
What resolution does it record?
It has a 12 megapixel sensor (4000 x 3000). The main stream records 12MP at up to 20fps, or 4K (3840 x 2160) at 25/30fps.
How is it powered?
By PoE (802.3af, Class 0), or by DC12V or AC24V. The datasheet gives power consumption of less than 8W.
Does it support people counting and heat map?
Yes. The datasheet lists people counting, heat map and face detection, alongside IVS tripwire, intrusion and abandoned or missing object detection.
Can it record sound?
It has a built-in microphone and 1 audio input and 1 output, with G.711a, G.711Mu, AAC and G.726 audio compression.
Is it weatherproof?
The datasheet lists no ingress protection (IP) rating, so we do not describe this camera as weatherproof. Dahua lists PFH610 series housings among its accessories for this model.
Will it work with a non-Dahua recorder?
The datasheet lists ONVIF Profile S and G. Tell us your recorder model and we will check.
Which other Dahua box cameras are there?
The IPC-HF5231E-E and the IPC-HF8232F-E are 2MP Starlight box network cameras.
