The Fike 204-0003-B is the black-finish Twinflex Multipoint ASD detector, a 2-wire smoke and heat detector for Fike Twinflex and Twinflex Pro fire alarm systems. It is supplied with a matching black mounting base, which suits dark ceilings where a white detector would stand out.

The installer chooses one of seven detection modes to match the area: three smoke settings, three heat settings, or a combined mode in which either smoke or heat can trigger a fire decision. Like other Twinflex devices it has a built-in end-of-line switch, so no end-of-line resistor is needed.

Key features

• Smoke 1 for areas where ionisation detectors would normally be used, such as high ceilings or fast-burning fire risks
• Smoke 2 for smouldering fire risks and escape routes
• Smoke 3 with reduced sensitivity and a time delay for areas prone to nuisance alarms, such as hotel rooms with en-suite showers
• Heat modes: rate of rise, fixed at approx. 58 °C, and high fixed at approx. 90 °C for commercial kitchens and boiler rooms
• Combined mode (Smoke 2 and Heat 2) responds to either smoke or heat
• Self-calibrates every 6 hours; the panel flags a contaminated chamber before it can cause a false alarm
• Easy to remove for maintenance at height
