Sounders, beacons and VADs that warn people to leave.
Fire alarm sounders give the audible warning, and beacons or VADs (visual alarm devices) add a flashing light for noisy areas or people with hearing loss. We stock models for 2-wire, conventional and addressable systems.
How do I choose a sounder?
- Match the system: the sounder must suit your panel type.
- Location: choose a weatherproof (IP-rated) model outdoors.
- Visual warning: add a beacon or VAD where a sounder alone may not be heard.
- Coverage: sounder and VAD positions should follow your system design.
