The DS-2AE4215TG-3 is a Turbo HD PTZ speed dome: 2 MP at 15× optical zoom, running over coax to a DVR. If there is already cable in the ground, this is what saves you rewiring the site.

It pans 360° endless and tilts -5° to 90° (auto flip), holds 256 presets, and supports patrols and pattern scans so it can run a tour unattended. The video output is switchable between TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS, so it will talk to most existing recorders. This is the indoor / in-ceiling model — for an outdoor position choose one of the IP66 domes in the range.

Frequently asked questions

Will this work with my existing DVR?

It outputs switchable TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS over coax and takes PTZ control over the same cable (UTC) or RS-485, so it works with most Hikvision and many third-party DVRs. Tell us your recorder model and we will confirm before you order.

Can I mount it outdoors?

No. This is the indoor and in-ceiling version, with no IP rating and an operating range of -10 °C to 50 °C. For an outdoor position choose an IP66 model such as the DS-2AE4215ITG.

How far can it see at night?

This model has no built-in IR, so it needs existing lighting. If the area is dark, choose one of the IR models in the range.

Does it need a special power supply?

12 VDC, max. 12 W. Check this against your existing supply — an undersized PSU is the usual reason a PTZ resets when it moves.
