The DS-2AE4425ITG is a Turbo HD PTZ speed dome: 4 MP at 25× optical zoom, running over coax to a DVR. If there is already cable in the ground, this is what saves you rewiring the site — and at 4 MP it is the highest-resolution 4-inch dome in the Turbo HD range.

It pans 360° endless and tilts -15° to 90° (auto flip), holds 256 presets, and supports patrols and pattern scans so it can run a tour unattended. Built-in IR reaches up to 100 m and it is rated IP66 for outdoor use. The video output is switchable between TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS, so it will talk to most existing recorders.

Frequently asked questions

Will this work with my existing DVR?

It outputs switchable TVI, AHD, CVI or CVBS over coax and takes PTZ control over the same cable (UTC) or RS-485. It will connect to most Hikvision DVRs, but you need a recorder that supports 4 MP over coax to get the full resolution — on a 1080p DVR you will record 1080p. Tell us your recorder model and we will confirm.

Can I use it on network cable instead?

No — this is the coax version. If you are running new cable, an IP PTZ over Cat6 is the better choice; see our Hikvision PTZ camera guide.

How far can it see at night?

Hikvision quotes IR to 100 m. That is the illumination range, not the identification range — you will recognise a person well before that distance and a vehicle further out.

Does it need a special power supply?

12 VDC, max. 20 W (IR: 7 W). Check this against your existing supply — an undersized PSU is the usual reason a PTZ resets when it moves or when the IR comes on.
