DS-2DE4A425IWG1-E — 4 MP, 25× Zoom, IP PTZ
The DS-2DE4A425IWG1-E is the fastest 4-inch dome in the range: 4 MP at 25× optical zoom, auto-tracking, IR to 50 m and a 350°/s preset speed, running over network cable to an NVR on 802.3at PoE.
It pans 0° to 360° and tilts -5° to 90°, holds 300 presets with 8 patrols and 4 pattern scans, and takes 2 alarm inputs and 2 outputs — so it can be driven straight off beams or contacts. It is rated IP67 and works from -30 °C to 65 °C.

Frequently asked questions
How does this differ from the DS-2DE4425IWG1-E?
Speed, alarm handling and IR. This one presets at 350°/s against 80°/s and has two alarm inputs and outputs instead of one each, but its IR reaches 50 m rather than 100 m. Choose this for alarm-driven work on a lit site; choose the DS-2DE4425IWG1-E where the area is dark.
How far does it see at night?
Hikvision quotes IR to 50 m. That is the illumination range, not the identification range.
Will standard PoE power it?
No. It needs 802.3at PoE+ (up to 24 W) or a 12 V DC supply. A standard 802.3af switch is the usual reason a PTZ resets when it moves.
Can it follow someone automatically?
Yes. Hikvision lists manual tracking and auto-tracking for this model, so it will lock on to a moving person or vehicle and follow it until it leaves the scene.
Do I still need fixed cameras?
On most sites, yes. A PTZ looks in one direction at a time, so fixed cameras on the entrances give you the constant evidence while the PTZ investigates.
