DS-2DP3236ZIXS-D/440: PanoVu dual-channel camera — a 5520 × 2400 panoramic view plus a 40× zoom PTZ with 250 m IR, in one housing. Genuine UK stock from an authorised Hikvision partner, delivered within 1–3 working days.
The DS-2DP3236ZIXS-D/440 is a PanoVu dual-channel camera: a multi-sensor panoramic head producing a single stitched 5520 × 2400 image, plus a 40× zoom PTZ in the same housing. The panoramic channel records the entire area continuously at high resolution while the PTZ is free to investigate anything in it — and because the panoramic image is 13 megapixels, you can also go back and crop into it afterwards.
The PTZ channel reaches 240 mm with IR to 250 m, auto-tracking, and patrol tracking across multiple detection scenes — it can work a list of areas in turn rather than watching one. Both channels use 1/1.8" sensors. It connects over a gigabit port, which matters here: two high-resolution streams is real bandwidth.
This is a large, specialist camera — Ø 433.5 mm, 135 W from a 36 V supply, no PoE option. It is specified for stadiums, ports, large car parks, city-centre squares and industrial sites: places where you need to see everything at once and still be able to zoom in on one person.

Specification taken from Hikvision's published data for this model. Appearance and parameters may vary; ask us if a particular figure matters for your project.
Several sensors behind separate lenses, stitched into one continuous wide image — here 5520 × 2400. It is not a fisheye: there is no barrel distortion to dewarp, and the resolution is spread evenly across the width rather than crammed into the centre. That is why you can crop into the recording afterwards and still have something usable.
Because they cover each other's weaknesses. The panorama never misses anything but cannot magnify; the PTZ magnifies but only looks one way. Together, the wide view gives you the complete record and the PTZ gives you the detail — and on this model the PTZ can work through several detection scenes in turn automatically.
No. It takes 36 V DC at up to 135 W, so it needs a local supply at the camera. On a mast or a stadium gantry that is a real part of the installation cost — plan it early.
Hikvision quotes IR to 250 m on the PTZ channel. That is the illumination range, not the identification range.
It is a lot of camera, and on most sites two or three ordinary cameras plus a PTZ would cost less and do the job. It earns its price where one position has to cover a very wide area with evidential detail — a stadium, a port, a large open car park, a town square. Tell us what you are covering and we will say honestly whether it is warranted.
