Hikvision DS-PDC15-EG2 — wired 15 m PIR curtain detector

The DS-PDC15-EG2 protects an opening rather than a room. Mounted above or beside a run of windows or a set of patio doors, its 6.3° curtain covers 15 m along the glazing; an intruder coming through the glass breaks the beam, while the family moving about inside does not. That makes it the detector for perimeter-armed ("night") modes where the house is occupied. Creep-zone protection watches directly beneath the unit, and the 6500 lux white-light filter and sealed optics resist false alarms from headlights and insects. It wires to any panel zone with a normally-closed output — the DS-PK670MDW-HWE keypad and DS-PDSK-P shock sensor are its AX Hybrid Pro companions.

Hikvision's AX PRO wireless peripherals use the Tri-X 868 MHz two-way radio and enrol to an AX PRO hub; wired detectors connect to any panel zone input. This item sits in our Hikvision AX PRO range.

Detection

Passive infrared with a 15 m range and a 6.3° detection angle across 18 zones, detecting movement from 0.3 to 2 m/s. Creep-zone protection covers the area under the detector; digital temperature compensation keeps sensitivity stable as the room warms; a 6500 lux white-light filter and sealed optics guard against light and insects; digital signal processing reduces nuisance alarms.

Connection and power

Normally-closed alarm output and a front tamper contact, wired to a panel zone; a blue LED shows alarm. Power 9–16 VDC (12 VDC typical) at a maximum of 11 mA.

Wall or ceiling mounting at a height of 2.4 to 3.6 m, with an optional wall/ceiling bracket. 65.4 × 86.8 × 45.5 mm; -10 °C to 55 °C, 10–90% humidity; indoor.
