The DS-PDMCS-EG2-WE(B)/Black is the black-cover version of Hikvision's AX PRO slim magnetic contact — the same compact door and window sensor as the white DS-PDMCS-EG2-WE(B), for dark frames, anthracite bifolds and black composite doors where a white sensor would stand out. Hikvision's page carries the black variant as a sub-model of the same product, so the specification below is the same: a 43 mm maximum gap, a wired auxiliary input, front and rear tamper, and up to five years on one CR2450 cell over the 868 MHz Tri-X two-way radio. Smaller than the standard contact

The sensor body is 24 × 104 × 24.4 mm and the magnet 13 × 34.4 × 11.4 mm — sized for a uPVC or slim aluminium frame where the standard contact would be intrusive or would not fit. Maximum detection gap 43 mm, so sensor and magnet need a reasonably close, aligned fit.

Wired input and tamper

One auxiliary alarm input — normally open, normally closed or impulse count — lets a second wired device on the same door report through this contact's radio. Front and rear tamper, a blue alarm LED, and temperature and signal-strength indication on the hub.

Radio and battery

Tri-X two-way wireless at 868 MHz with AES-128 encryption and frequency hopping, 1.6 km free-space range; enrolment by power-up, remote ID or QR code. One CR2450 (3 V) cell gives up to five years' standby. -10 °C to 55 °C, 10–90% humidity, indoor; 59 g.

Frequently asked questions

Is the black version any different inside?

No — Hikvision lists it as the same slim contact with a black cover. Gap, radio, battery and input are identical to the white DS-PDMCS-EG2-WE(B).

How is this different from the standard door contact?

Smaller and more discreet, with a tighter 43 mm gap tolerance — best for slim frames where the standard DS-PDMC-EG2-WE(B) would be too visible or too large to fit.

Does it work with other alarm panels?

No. It is a Tri-X 868 MHz device for Hikvision AX PRO hubs only.

Can I wire a second sensor into it?

Yes — the auxiliary input accepts a normally-open, normally-closed or pulse-count device and reports it over the same radio.

How long does the battery last?
