The TP-Link TL-PA8010P KIT is an AV1300 gigabit passthrough powerline kit. Its HomePlug AV2 adapters use 2x2 MIMO with beamforming across the Line-Neutral and Line-Ground paths to reach up to 1300 Mbps over existing mains wiring, with a Gigabit Ethernet port and an integrated socket with built-in noise filter on each unit.

What the TL-PA8010P KIT is for

This is the kit for homes and small offices where a basic powerline adapter struggles: longer runs, older wiring or a busy circuit. MIMO uses the earth conductor as well as live and neutral, which TP-Link say gives greater range and more stable connections for 4K streaming, gaming and wired CCTV recorders.

What you will need

A router with a spare LAN port and two wall sockets with an earth connection on the same electrical installation. Plug directly into the wall; extension leads go into the adapter's own socket.

How fast is the TP-Link TL-PA8010P KIT?

Up to 1300 Mbps physical rate. Actual throughput is lower and varies with wiring quality and interference, but MIMO generally holds up better over distance than single-path AV1000 adapters.

What does 2x2 MIMO do on a powerline adapter?

It sends data over the Line-Neutral and Line-Ground paths at the same time, with beamforming, which TP-Link say improves range and stability compared with single-path powerline.
