The TP-Link TL-SF1024D is a 24-port 10/100 Mbps unmanaged switch in a desktop or rack-mountable case, with 24 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports and a switching capacity of 4.8 Gbps. It is plug and play, with no PoE output, so it is a simple way to add wired ports to an office, shop or CCTV network.

What the TL-SF1024D is for

TP-Link make the TL-SF1024D as an unmanaged network switch: connect the cables and it works, with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX on every port, so there is nothing to configure. Each port runs at up to 100 Mbps, which suits PCs, printers, NVRs and other wired devices.

The TL-SF1024D does not supply PoE, so IP cameras and access points connected to it need their own power or a PoE injector. If you want to power cameras from the switch, look at our TP-Link PoE switches instead.

What you will need

You need network cable for each device (Cat5e or above for 100 Mbps links) and a mains socket for the switch. It gives no PoE, so powered devices need a separate supply. Rack mounting needs a free 1U space in a 19-inch cabinet.

Does the TL-SF1024D support PoE?

No. The TL-SF1024D is a non-PoE switch. Devices that need PoE must be powered separately, for example with a PoE injector, or you can choose a TP-Link PoE switch.

Is the TL-SF1024D managed, and does it need an Omada controller?

No. It is an unmanaged plug and play switch, so it has no web interface and does not need an Omada controller or any configuration.

How fast are the ports on the TL-SF1024D?

All 24 RJ45 ports are 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. If you need a different speed or port count, see the TL-SF1016D.

Is the TL-SF1024D energy efficient?

TP-Link say its energy-efficient technology saves up to 75% power, and list max power consumption of 3.19 W.

Can the TL-SF1024D be rack mounted?

Yes. TP-Link sell it as a desktop/rackmount switch in a 13-inch steel case and include a rackmount kit and rubber feet in the box.

Is the TL-SF1024D silent?

Yes. TP-Link list it as fanless, so it runs silently.

How quickly can I get it?
