TP-Link VIGI InSight S385PI - 8MP 180° Panoramic IR Bullet IP Camera

InSight S385PI — TP-Link VIGI 8MP 180° Panoramic IR Bullet IP Camera

The TP-Link VIGI InSight S385PI is an 8MP (3840 × 2160) 180° panoramic IR bullet network camera with a 1.65 mm fixed lens giving a 180° horizontal view, 20 m of IR night vision, two-way audio and an IP67 and IK10 rated metal housing. It is powered by PoE+ (802.3at, Class 4) or 12V DC.

What the InSight S385PI is for

A bullet camera suits walls, gable ends and poles where a visible camera pointed down a drive, yard or car park helps deter. The 180° panoramic view covers a whole frontage or yard from one position, replacing two or three narrower cameras. Record it on a network video recorder or browse our other bullet IP cameras.

As a TP-Link VIGI camera it can be viewed and managed with the VIGI App, VIGI Security Manager, VIGI VMS and VIGI Cloud VMS, recorded by a VIGI NVR, or used with third-party recorders over ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface (Profile S/T/G)).

What you will need

A PoE+ (802.3at) port for each camera, from a VIGI PoE NVR or a TP-Link PoE switch, and network cable to each camera. For continuous recording add an NVR with a surveillance hard drive, or fit a microSD card (not included) for on-camera storage.

Buying from Zenith Security Co.

We are a supplier, not an installer. We will go through the InSight S385PI with you before you buy, including the PoE budget and the field of view you need, and depending on your requirements and your area we can recommend a qualified trade installer. We have been operating since 2012 and you can visit our trade counter in Wolverhampton.

Does the InSight S385PI work with a non-VIGI NVR?

It works with VIGI NVRs and supports ONVIF Open Network Video Interface (Profile S/T/G), so it can be added to third-party ONVIF recorders. The full set of smart detection features is supported on a VIGI NVR.

Is the InSight S385PI PoE powered?

Yes, but it needs 802.3at PoE+ (Class 4, up to 21W power). A standard 802.3af port is not enough. It can also run on 12V DC.

Does the InSight S385PI show colour at night?

No. It uses 20 m of 850 nm IR for black-and-white night images. For colour at night see the full-colour InSight models.

Does it record audio?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone (around a 5 m pickup radius) and a speaker for two-way audio. Check local rules on audio recording before enabling it.
