TP-Link VIGI InSight S455 - 5MP Full-Colour Turret IP Camera, 4mm

InSight S455 — TP-Link VIGI 5MP Full-Colour Turret IP Camera, 4mm

The TP-Link VIGI InSight S455 is a 5MP (2880 × 1620) full-colour turret network camera with a fixed 4 mm F1.6 lens, full-colour night vision from IR and white LEDs reaching 30 m, two-way audio and an IP67 metal housing. It is powered by PoE (802.3af/at) or 12V DC.

What the InSight S455 is for

A turret suits soffits and walls on homes, shops and small offices, and its ball-in-socket design avoids IR reflection from a dome bubble. Record it on a network video recorder or browse our other turret IP cameras.

As a TP-Link VIGI camera it can be viewed and managed with the VIGI App, VIGI Security Manager, VIGI VMS and VIGI Cloud VMS, recorded by a VIGI NVR, or used with third-party recorders over ONVIF (Profile S/T/G).

Buying from Zenith Security Co.

We are a supplier, not an installer. We will go through the InSight S455 with you before you buy, including the PoE budget and the field of view you need, and depending on your requirements and your area we can recommend a qualified trade installer. We have been operating since 2012 and you can visit our trade counter in Wolverhampton.

InSight S455 2.8mm or 4mm?

The 2.8 mm version has a 111.4° horizontal view and identifies people at up to 6 m. The 4 mm version narrows to 88° and identifies at up to 8 m, so it suits longer drives and entrances further from the camera.

Does the InSight S455 work with a non-VIGI NVR?

It works with VIGI NVRs and supports ONVIF Profile S/T/G, so it can be added to third-party ONVIF recorders. The full set of smart detection features is supported on a VIGI NVR.

Is the InSight S455 PoE powered?

Yes, 802.3af/at PoE, up to 12 W. It can also run on 12V DC; the adapter is not included.

Does the InSight S455 record in colour at night?

Yes. The white LEDs can light the scene for full-colour images up to 30 m, or it can switch to IR for discreet black-and-white night vision. The light mode can be set to auto, scheduled, always on or off.

Does it record audio?

Yes. It has a built-in microphone (around a 5 m pickup radius) and a speaker for two-way audio. Check local rules on audio recording before enabling it.
