The Uniview NVR301-04S3-P4 is an NVR for small IP camera systems of up to four cameras. Its four built-in PoE ports power and connect PoE cameras directly, so a separate PoE switch is not needed for those cameras.

What the NVR301-04S3-P4 is for

The NVR301-04S3-P4 records up to four IP cameras. It accepts 4 channels of IP video, records at up to 8 MP, and accepts up to 64 Mbps of incoming camera data, with 48 Mbps available for outgoing viewing.

Each of the four PoE ports supplies up to 30 W, with a total of 54 W across the recorder, and supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at. Add up your cameras' PoE draw against the 54 W total. Ports are 10/100 M, and the recorder decodes formats including Ultra 265, H.265 and H.264.

What you will need

You need up to four IP cameras that suit the recorder's 4 channels and 64 Mbps incoming bandwidth, with network cable to each PoE port. The NVR301-04S3-P4 has one SATA bay taking a drive of up to 10 TB, and no hard drive is listed as supplied, so add a surveillance hard drive. It runs from a DC 48 V/1.35 A supply, and a monitor connects by HDMI or VGA.
