What you will need

You need a DVR or XVR that accepts the video format you choose (TVI, AHD or CVI) at the resolution you want, since a 5MP camera needs a recorder that supports 5MP input. Power is 12 V DC (±25%) through a 5.5 mm power interface, with a maximum draw of 3.4 W, so add a suitable 12 V DC supply (see CCTV accessories). Use coaxial cable with BNC connectors, and add surveillance hard drives to the recorder for storage.
