The DS-KH7300EY-WTE2 is the Wi-Fi-equipped indoor monitor for Hikvision's 2-wire HD (EY series) intercom. Like its wired twin, the DS-KH7300EY-TE2, it takes power and video over a single two-core cable from the DS-KAD7060EY distributor or a DS-KAD7061EY splitter; the added 2.4 GHz radio lets the station join the resident's network so calls can be forwarded to the Hik-Connect app.

Hikvision's current 2-wire range comes in two families that use different buses: the 2-wire IP (Y) series and the 2-wire HD (EY) series. Distributors, door stations and indoor stations are designed to be used within their own family. What the resident gets

A press at the door wakes the 7-inch 1024 × 600 screen with live video and rings the speaker. Answer, talk, and release the door with the three touch buttons. Missed calls leave a snapshot — up to 200 on a fitted TF card. Four indicators (Wi-Fi, power, mute, in use) show status at a glance, and a physical reset button sits alongside.

Why the Wi-Fi matters on a 2-wire system

A 2-wire HD bus carries the intercom, but on its own it does not put the station on the internet. The WTE2's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi bridges that gap for the flat it serves: connected to the resident's router it can forward door calls to a phone through Hik-Connect, so the door can be answered from the garden or from work. The wired TE2 cannot do this.

Installation

Surface mounted, 190.2 × 138.2 × 20 mm. Two-wire input and output ports allow daisy-chaining within the flat, with up to three linked extensions. Addressing is by DIP switch — five decimal and four binary — so stations can be set without a laptop. One alarm input is provided for a door contact or panic button.

Power

Per the datasheet, 48 V from the DS-KAD7060EY or DS-KAD7061EY, drawing ≤ 5 W in use and ≤ 1.2 W on standby. A white version is listed as the DS-KH7300EY-WTE2/White.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need the Wi-Fi to work?

No. The intercom runs over the two-wire bus. Wi-Fi is for network access and Hik-Connect app forwarding.

Is 5 GHz Wi-Fi supported?

No — the datasheet lists 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n only.

What is the difference from the DS-KH7300EY-TE2?

The TE2 has no Wi-Fi and draws slightly less (≤ 4 W vs ≤ 5 W). Everything else — screen, audio, bus, mounting — is the same.

Is this compatible with the DS-KH6320Y-WTE2 system?

No. The DS-KH6320Y-WTE2 is 2-wire IP (Y series) on a 24 V DS-KAD706Y bus. This is 2-wire HD (EY series) on the 48 V DS-KAD7060EY bus.

Can it release the door?

Yes — the Unlock touch button triggers the lock controlled by the door station.
