Hikvision DS-KD7003EY-IME2 — 2-wire HD modular door station
The DS-KD7003EY-IME2 is the camera-and-call main module of Hikvision's 2-wire HD (EY series) door entry system. It puts a 2 MP wide-angle camera, IR night illumination, two-way audio and up to two call buttons at the entrance, and it connects to the building over a single two-core cable from the DS-KAD7060EY distributor, which also powers it at 48 V. A 12 VDC input is provided as an alternative.
Hikvision's current 2-wire range comes in two families that use different buses: the 2-wire IP (Y) series and the 2-wire HD (EY) series. Distributors, door stations and indoor stations are designed to be used within their own family. Picture and sound at the door
The 2 MP sensor covers 133° horizontally and 82° vertically — wide enough to see a visitor standing to the side of the panel, or a parcel left on the step. WDR keeps faces readable against a bright sky behind them, and the IR supplement light takes over after dark. The microphone and loudspeaker are built in, with noise suppression and echo cancellation so the conversation is clear on a busy street. Video is H.264 over the 2-wire HD link.
Two ways to release the door
Unusually for a door station, this unit has two independent lock outputs: a relay rated to 30 VDC 2 A for a conventional strike or maglock supply, and a DC pulse output (20 V 4 A impulsive, 300 mA holding, 30 Ω max) that can drive a suitable electric strike directly. Two alarm inputs take an exit button and a door contact, and a tamper switch reports if the panel is removed. Note that the datasheet lists no separate alarm output.
Modular and scalable
Two RS-485 ports — one for Hikvision sub-modules such as extra call buttons or a keypad, one reserved — let the panel grow into a multi-button or code-entry station. Capacity is generous: up to 400 linked indoor stations, 16 sub door stations and 2000 users, with a six-decimal DIP switch for addressing. The 4 GB ROM / 256 MB RAM platform runs embedded Linux with a 19-language interface.
Built for outside
IP65 against rain and dust, IK08 against impact, and a working range of -40 °C to 60 °C. Four LEDs (door open, calling, intercom, in use) give the visitor feedback. Surface or flush mounting; 99.5 × 98.5 × 35 mm; consumption ≤ 6 W. Wi-Fi is present only as an access point for configuration, not for the intercom link.

No. The DS-KD8003Y-IME2 is the 2-wire IP (Y series) door station powered from a DS-KAD706Y. This DS-KD7003EY-IME2 is the 2-wire HD (EY series) unit powered from a DS-KAD7060EY. Pick the family first.
How is it powered?
At 48 V over the two-wire bus from the DS-KAD7060EY distributor, or from a local 12 VDC supply. Consumption is ≤ 6 W.
Can it release two doors?
It has two lock outputs — one relay (max 30 VDC, 2 A) and one DC pulse output — so it can drive two locks or give you a choice of lock type.
How many buttons does it have?
0 to 2 call buttons on the main unit. More buttons or a keypad are added as Hikvision sub-modules over RS-485.
