The DS-3E1326P-EI(B) is a 24-port 10/100 Mbps PoE switch with a 230 W PoE budget, 1 × Gigabit uplink and 1 × Gigabit combo. It is a 1U rack unit and ships with mounting ears.
The number that decides whether it fits your job is the power budget, not the port count. 230 W covers 19–24 typical fixed cameras — fewer if any are PTZs, have heaters, or are 4K models with stronger IR. Add up the real figures from each camera's datasheet before you commit; an undersized budget is the single most common reason a newly wired camera refuses to power up even though the port lights.
Being smart-managed, it adds the things that save a site visit: VLANs to keep CCTV traffic off the office network, per-port power monitoring, and the ability to reboot a hung camera remotely through Hik-Partner Pro.
It also has a long-range mode that pushes PoE and data to 300 m on the designated ports, at reduced speed. That is a genuinely useful way out of a run that is slightly too long, though it drops those ports to 10 Mbps — so use it for one camera at the end of a long run rather than as a design default.

Frequently asked questions
How many cameras will it actually run?
The budget is 230 W. A typical fixed IP camera with IR draws around 6–12 W, so realistically 19–24 typical fixed cameras — but a PTZ camera or a camera with a heater can take 30–60 W on its own and change that arithmetic completely. Send us the camera list and we will total it up with you.
Can I really fill all 24 ports?
Only if the cameras are modest. 230 W across 24 ports is under 10 W each, so a full rack of 4K cameras with strong IR will exceed it. It is sized for a large number of standard fixed cameras, not for 24 hungry ones — total the actual figures before you design around it.
What does smart-managed give me over unmanaged?
Visibility and remote control: per-port power draw, the ability to reboot a camera without driving to site, and VLANs to separate CCTV from the general network. On a commercial site that pays for itself the first time you avoid a call-out.
What is the PoE watchdog?
It detects a camera that has stopped responding and power-cycles that port automatically. A small feature that quietly prevents a lot of "the camera is offline" calls.
