The DS-KD-IN gives visitors clear feedback. On a multi-button panel the caller often cannot tell whether the flat is ringing, whether anyone has picked up, or whether the door is now open; this module's three indicators show each state in turn. It is also useful where an accessibility survey asks for visual confirmation of a call, and it pairs naturally with the DS-KD-PMR induction-loop module for hearing-aid users.

Hikvision's KD8 modular door station is built from a main unit (camera, microphone, speaker and one call button) plus sub-modules that clip into a common frame: nametag buttons, card reader, keypad, display, indicator and induction loop. Modules connect to the main unit over RS-485 and take their 12 VDC from it, so a panel for a block of flats is specified module by module. Tell us the flat count and the entrance and we will draw up the frame, modules and rain shield.

This is part of Hikvision's IP video intercom range: door stations, indoor stations and accessories that connect over a standard network (PoE or 12 VDC) and are configured with the iVMS-4200 client or the Hik-Connect app. IP-series products are designed to be used together within that range. Three states, one module

Three indicators cover calling, in-conversation and door-released, driven by the main unit over RS-485. There are no buttons or settings on the module itself.

Fit and power

Standard KD8 module format — 98.5 × 100 × 33.7 mm, flush or surface mounting in the frame — with one RS-485 and one power interface fed from the main unit or the neighbouring module. Consumption is ≤ 2 W.

Weather rating

IP65 with a -40 °C to +55 °C operating range, matching the rest of the KD8 range for an outdoor entrance.
