MP500 KIT — Mercusys AV1000 Gigabit Powerline Starter Kit
The Mercusys MP500 KIT is an AV1000 gigabit powerline starter kit: two HomePlug AV2 adapters that send your network at up to 1000 Mbps over existing electrical wiring, each with a Gigabit Ethernet port, a Pair/Reset button and 128-bit AES encryption. Range is up to 300 metres over the circuit, and Mercusys back it with a 3-year warranty.
What the MP500 KIT is for
It is a low-cost way to get a wired connection to a PC, IPTV box, games console or CCTV recorder in a room the router's Wi-Fi does not reach, with no drilling or new cable. Plug one adapter in by the router, the other where you need the connection, and press Pair.
Add more adapters later to reach other rooms. If you need to keep the socket free, the MP300P KIT has a pass-through socket; browse more in data networking.

What you will need
A router with a spare LAN port and two wall sockets on the same electrical installation.
Buying from Zenith Security Co.
We are a supplier, not an installer. We will go through the MP500 KIT with you before you buy, including whether powerline suits your building and what speed to expect, and depending on your requirements and your area we can point you towards a qualified trade installer. We have been trading since 2012 and hold stock at our Wolverhampton trade counter.
How fast is the Mercusys MP500 KIT?
Up to 1000 Mbps physical powerline rate with gigabit Ethernet ports. Real throughput is lower and depends on your wiring and electrical noise.
Does the MP500 have a pass-through socket?
No. It occupies the wall socket. Choose the MP300P KIT for an extra power socket.
Will it work with TP-Link or other powerline adapters?
It supports HomePlug AV2 and HomePlug AV, the same standards used by TP-Link TL-PA adapters such as the TL-PA7017 KIT, so they can be paired. A link runs at the speed of the slower adapter.
Can I add more adapters?
Yes. Mercusys designed the network to be expanded by adding more powerline adapters.
What warranty does it have?
Mercusys provide a 3-year warranty.
How quickly can I get it?
Stocked items are despatched for delivery within 1-2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
Can I see one before buying?
Yes. Our trade counter is at Unit 3, Park View Centre, 243 Dudley Road, Wolverhampton WV2 3JU.
