The RG-EG1510XS is a rack-mounted business router for large numbers of users. It is sized for up to 1500 concurrent clients and offers 4500 Mbps of throughput in Turbo Mode, with 10GE SFP+ ports for fast uplinks.

What the RG-EG1510XS is for

This router is aimed at sites with many users rather than a small office. Ruijie recommend it for up to 1500 concurrent clients, and quote 1000 VPN tunnels with IPSec, OpenVPN, L2TP and PPTP support. Throughput is 4500 Mbps in Turbo Mode or 4000 Mbps in Normal Mode.

Ports are four 10/100/1000 ports, four 10/100/1000/2500 ports and two 10GE SFP+ ports, with one fixed WAN and one fixed LAN. For compliance audit it takes a 2.5-inch 1TB SATA HDD to keep syslogs for 6 to 12 months. Ruijie also list an open API for third-party authentication and captive portals, and terminal recognition with flow control (QoS) to locate high-load users.

What you will need

Rack space of 1 U (440 mm x 210 mm x 43.6 mm). The two SFP+ ports need 10G SFP+ modules or cables; Ruijie's page lists none with the router. The syslog hard drive is a 2.5-inch SATA drive that must be purchased separately. The page does not state the power arrangement, so check the datasheet if that matters for your rack.
