The TP-Link Archer NX500-Outdoor is a 5G router built into a weatherproof outdoor housing. It takes a nano SIM, connects over 5G at up to 4.67 Gbps download (4G LTE Cat19 up to 1.6 Gbps) and broadcasts AX3000 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 at up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. One 2.5 Gbps port takes PoE in and carries data to the building.

What the Archer NX500-Outdoor is for

Mounting the router outside, on a pole, wall or window, puts the 5G antennas where the mobile signal is strongest, then one cable brings power and data indoors. It suits homes, holiday lets, caravans and small sites with no fixed line. Indoors, plug the cable into a Wi-Fi router or a network switch; for an indoor 5G router see the Archer NX500.

What you will need

A nano SIM with a 5G or 4G data plan (not included) and a mounting point with good mobile signal. The PoE adapter and a 10 m flat RJ45 cable are in the box.

The Outdoor model mounts outside for better signal and sends data in over one PoE cable. The indoor Archer NX500 sits on a shelf inside.
