The TP-Link Deco BE25-5G (1-pack) is a BE3600 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh router with 5G. It delivers 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, and has one 1 Gbps port and two 2.5 Gbps ports (WAN/LAN auto-sensing). It is set up and managed in the TP-Link Deco app.

What the Deco BE25-5G is for

It gives a home or small office Wi-Fi 7 internet from a 5G SIM where fixed broadband is slow or not available, and it can also run as a normal router on a wired connection. As a Deco it joins other Deco units to extend the same mesh network.

What you will need

A 5G (or 4G) data SIM from a network with coverage at your address, a smartphone for the Deco app, and a power socket. If you have fixed broadband too, it can use an Ethernet WAN connection instead.

Does the Deco BE25-5G need a SIM card?

For cellular internet, yes: it works as a 5G/4G/3G router with a data SIM. It also has a Wi-Fi Router mode for a wired broadband connection.

5G bands N1/N3/N5/N7/N8/N20/N28/N38/N40/N41/N71/N75/N76/N77/N78, plus 4G and 3G bands listed in the specification.

Can I fit external antennas?

Yes. Alongside 8 internal cellular antennas it has 2 external antenna interfaces.

Can I add more Deco units?

Yes. TP-Link state that all Decos work together, so other Deco units can extend the mesh, with optional Ethernet backhaul.
