The TP-Link ER706W-4G is an Omada tp link 4g router with a built-in 4G+ Cat6 modem (300 Mbps down, 50 Mbps up), dual nano SIM slots, AX3000 Wi-Fi 6, a gigabit SFP WAN/LAN port, a gigabit WAN port and four gigabit WAN/LAN ports.
What the ER706W-4G is for
The ER706W-4G gives a site wired broadband and 4G in one Omada gateway. Use 4G as the main connection where there is no fixed line, such as site cabins, pop-up shops or rural premises, or as automatic failover when the fixed line drops. Two SIM slots let you keep a second network as backup.
Built-in Wi-Fi 6 covers a small office, and you can add Omada access points and switches managed from one Omada controller or Omada Cloud.

A nano SIM with a data plan from your chosen network, network cable, and optionally a fixed broadband line on the WAN port. For central management, an Omada controller or Omada Cloud.

What SIM does the TP-Link ER706W-4G take?
It has two nano SIM slots for 4G+ Cat6 LTE, so you can fit SIMs from two networks.
Which 4G bands does the ER706W-4G support?
TP-Link list 4G LTE-FDD B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28/B32 and LTE-TDD B38/B40/B41, plus 3G B1/B3/B5/B8. These include the bands used for 4G by the main UK networks (EE, O2, Vodafone and Three), but check coverage and band support with your provider at the installation address.
Can the ER706W-4G fail over from broadband to 4G?
Yes. It supports load balancing and link backup, so 4G can take over if the wired WAN fails, or the wired line can back up 4G.
How fast is the 4G on the ER706W-4G?
4G+ Cat6 with up to 300 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload. Real speeds depend on signal and network.
Is the ER706W-4G Omada compatible?
Yes. It works standalone through its own web interface, or can be adopted by an Omada software controller, hardware controller (OC200/OC300) or Omada Cloud so it is managed with your Omada switches and access points. SD-WAN works only in controller mode.
Do I need the PoE version?
The ER706WP-4G adds four PoE+ ports (45 W budget) to power access points or cameras. Without 4G, see the ER706W.
How quickly can I get it?
We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily. Orders placed before 2:30pm are normally dispatched for delivery within 1–2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. You can also collect in store from our trade counter. Call first so we can confirm your order is ready. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
