The TP-Link LS108GP is an unmanaged switch with 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports, 8 of them PoE (62 W budget), in a desktop steel case that can also be wall mounted. It is plug and play, so it works out of the box with no configuration.
What the LS108GP is for
The LS108GP is a PoE switch for powering and connecting IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points and VoIP phones over a single network cable. TP-Link list a PoE budget of 62 W shared across its 8 PoE ports, using 802.3af/at PoE+, with up to 30 W on any one port.
For CCTV, a typical fixed IP camera draws around 7 W or less, so the LS108GP can power roughly 8 cameras at once (check each camera's datasheet; PTZ and heated cameras draw more). TP-Link's Extend Mode allows PoE and data up to 250 m on the supported ports, at reduced speed, for cameras beyond the normal 100 m limit. For larger runs, see our full range of network switches.

What is the PoE budget of the LS108GP and how many IP cameras can it power?
TP-Link list a 62 W PoE budget across 8 PoE ports, up to 30 W per port. At around 7 W per typical fixed IP camera that is roughly 8 cameras; higher-draw PTZ or heated cameras reduce that number.
Which PoE standard does the LS108GP support?
The PoE ports are 802.3af/at compliant, so they power standard PoE (15.4 W) and PoE+ (30 W) devices. They will not power 24 V passive PoE devices.
Is the LS108GP managed or unmanaged?
Unmanaged. It is plug and play with no web interface or VLAN settings; its modes are set with front-panel switches.
Does the LS108GP work with TP-Link Omada?
No, it cannot be adopted or managed by an Omada controller, though it will pass Omada traffic like any switch. If you want Omada management, look at the ES210GP easy managed switch.
Does the LS108GP have an SFP port?
No. All 8 ports are RJ45, so there is no fibre uplink.
Can the LS108GP be rack mounted?
No. It is a desktop steel case that can also be wall mounted, not a rack unit.
What is the difference between the LS108GP and the TL-SG1008P?
The LS108GP has 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports, 8 of them PoE (62 W budget). The TL-SG1008P has 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports, 4 of them PoE (64 W budget).
