The TP-Link Omada Fusion 2.5G is a gateway with the Omada Network Application built in, a 2.5G RJ45 WAN port, four 2.5G RJ45 LAN/WAN ports, a 2.51-inch colour touchscreen and Bluetooth setup. TP-Link quote IPS throughput of 2,183 Mbps and IPsec VPN of 1,023 Mbps.

What the Fusion 2.5G is for

Omada Fusion gateways have Omada OS and the Omada Network Application built in, so the gateway itself manages your Omada switches and access points (TP-Link recommend up to 30 devices and 300 clients) without a separate controller, with cloud access through the Omada app. With 2.5G on every port it suits offices with faster broadband or multi-gig access points and switches.

Up to four WAN ports give load balancing and failover, and VPN includes Omada LightLink, IPsec, WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP, PPTP and SSL, plus Full Mesh SD-WAN.

What you will need

Cat5e or better cable for 2.5G links, your broadband modem or ONT, and Omada switches and access points. For wall mounting add the MagMount-115mm plate.

Does the Omada Fusion 2.5G need a separate controller?

No. The Omada Network Application is built in, recommended for up to 30 Omada devices and 300 clients.

How fast are the ports on the Fusion 2.5G?

All five RJ45 ports are 2.5G: one WAN and four LAN/WAN.

What VPN throughput does the Fusion 2.5G give?

TP-Link quote IPsec 1,023 Mbps, L2TP 892 Mbps, WireGuard 605 Mbps, LightLink 527 Mbps, SSL 250 Mbps, OpenVPN 223 Mbps and PPTP 193 Mbps.

Does the Fusion 2.5G supply PoE?

Fusion 2.5G or Fusion G+?

The Fusion G+ has gigabit LAN ports and costs less; the Fusion 2.5G has 2.5G on all ports.

How quickly can I get it?

We ship nationally from our multi-million pound warehouse, with orders leaving daily. Orders placed before 2:30pm are normally dispatched for delivery within 1–2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. You can also collect in store from our trade counter. Call first so we can confirm your order is ready. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
