The TP-Link Omada Fusion 2.5G PoE combines a gateway, Omada controller and PoE switch: a 2.5G RJ45 WAN port, eight 2.5G RJ45 LAN/WAN ports with PoE+ (110 W budget), a 3.69-inch colour touchscreen and Bluetooth setup. TP-Link quote IPS throughput of 2,183 Mbps and IPsec VPN of 1,023 Mbps.

What the Fusion 2.5G PoE is for

Omada Fusion gateways have Omada OS and the Omada Network Application built in, so the gateway itself manages your Omada switches and access points (TP-Link recommend up to 30 devices and 300 clients) without a separate controller, with cloud access through the Omada app. The eight PoE+ ports power Omada access points or IP cameras directly, so a small site may need no separate PoE switch.

Up to eight WAN ports can be used for load balancing and backup. VPN includes LightLink, IPsec, WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP, PPTP and SSL, with Full Mesh SD-WAN between sites.

What you will need

Cat5e or better cable, your broadband modem or ONT, and the PoE devices to power within 110 W. For wall mounting TP-Link list a 167 mm magnetic plate for this model.

Is there a version without PoE?

The Fusion 2.5G has five 2.5G ports and no PoE; the Fusion G+ has a 2.5G WAN and gigabit LAN.
