TL-WA855RE — TP-Link 300Mbps Wi-Fi Range Extender with External Antennas
The TP-Link TL-WA855RE is a compact 300 Mbps 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi range extender with two external MIMO antennas. It plugs straight into a UK socket, has a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port and a colour-coded signal light, and draws about 3 W.
What the TL-WA855RE is for
It extends your existing Wi-Fi into rooms with a weak signal for browsing, streaming in HD and smart home devices. The small body means it does not block the neighbouring socket, and the adjustable external antennas help aim the signal.
The Ethernet port connects a wired device. For 5 GHz and OneMesh, choose the RE200; browse more in data networking.

What you will need
An existing 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router and a wall socket within good range of it.
Buying from Zenith Security Co.
We are a supplier, not an installer. We will go through the TL-WA855RE with you before you buy, including whether an extender, mesh or powerline suits your building, and depending on your requirements and your area we can point you towards a qualified trade installer. We have been trading since 2012 and hold stock at our Wolverhampton trade counter.
What Wi-Fi does the TL-WA855RE extend?
2.4 GHz 802.11n networks at up to 300 Mbps. It does not extend 5 GHz; the RE200 is dual band.
Does the TL-WA855RE support OneMesh?
TP-Link do not list OneMesh for this model; it works as a standard repeater with any router.
Will it block my other socket?
It measures 52 x 34 x 65 mm, so it is compact enough to leave the neighbouring socket on a double outlet usable in most cases.
Can I connect a wired device?
Yes, through the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port.
TL-WA855RE or TL-WA850RE?
Same 300 Mbps speed. The TL-WA855RE has external antennas in a smaller body; the TL-WA850RE has internal antennas and a five-bar signal light.
How quickly can I get it?
Stocked items are despatched for delivery within 1-2 working days to England, Scotland and Wales. We do not ship to Northern Ireland.
