Hikvision DS-K2M002X — two-door access module for K27 controllers

The DS-K2M002X is how a K27 system grows. A DS-K2702X or DS-K2704X controller carries five RS-485 ports for access modules, each port supporting up to 16 modules, and every DS-K2M002X on that bus adds two fully equipped doors — relay, exit button, door contact, OSDP reader ports and Wiegand inputs — close to the doors themselves rather than back at the controller. Hikvision's own DS-K2708X eight-door cabinet is built from exactly this: a DS-K2704X(P) plus two of these modules.

Hikvision's K27 access controllers come two ways: the cabinet version (100–240 VAC mains input, battery charging, wall-mounted steel enclosure) and the (P) board version — the same controller PCB on a guide rail, powered from 12 VDC, for fitting inside your own enclosure or a larger Hikvision cabinet. The DS-K2708X 8-door cabinet, for example, contains a DS-K2704X(P) and two DS-K2M002X modules. Readers connect over RS-485 (OSDP) or Wiegand; doors can be extended with DS-K2M002X access modules. Configuration is by web browser, iVMS-4200 or HikCentral.

Per-door hardware

Two lock relays, two exit-button inputs, two door-contact inputs, four alarm inputs, two alarm outputs and a tamper switch. Four RS-485 ports — two for OSDP readers and two for the link to the access controller — and two Wiegand inputs (standard 26/34 with custom settings). The datasheet's linked capacity per module is two doors, four RS-485 (OSDP) readers and two Wiegand readers.

Functions

Configuration via web browser, multi-factor authentication, first person in and multi-door interlocking (32 groups of 32 doors) are all provided through the access controller the module is connected to.

Power and installation

12 ± 15% VDC with battery charge/discharge support, consumption ≤ 50 W. Guide-rail installation; six indicators (power, running, two communication, two door). -10 °C to 55 °C, 0–90% humidity. MCU-based.
