Hikvision DS-K2701X — 1-door access controller cabinet
The DS-K2701X is the 1-door member of Hikvision's current K27 network access controllers. It is supplied in a wall-mounted steel cabinet with a 100–240 VAC input and battery charging, so the controller and its standby supply are one item. The DS-K2701X(P) is the same controller as a bare 12 VDC board for your own enclosure. Capacities are generous — 100,000 users, 200,000 cards, 600,000 events — and the door count grows to 125 doors with 62 access modules over RS-485. Readers connect by OSDP or Wiegand: the DS-K1107AM and the OSDP-capable DS-K1T805MBWX are typical partners.
Hikvision's K27 access controllers come two ways: the cabinet version (100–240 VAC mains input, battery charging, wall-mounted steel enclosure) and the (P) board version — the same controller PCB on a guide rail, powered from 12 VDC, for fitting inside your own enclosure or a larger Hikvision cabinet. The DS-K2708X 8-door cabinet, for example, contains a DS-K2704X(P) and two DS-K2M002X modules. Readers connect over RS-485 (OSDP) or Wiegand; doors can be extended with DS-K2M002X access modules. Configuration is by web browser, iVMS-4200 or HikCentral.
Doors, readers and expansion
On board: 1 lock relay, 1 exit-button input, 1 door-contact input, 2 alarm inputs, 2 alarm outputs, a tamper switch and a fire interface. Seven RS-485 ports — two for readers (OSDP) and five for access modules (four for communication, each supporting up to 16 modules, plus one for redundancy) — and 2 Wiegand inputs with standard 26/34-bit and custom formats. The datasheet's linked-door capacity is 1 on the controller itself and 125 doors with 62 access modules when extended with DS-K2M002X access modules; reader capacity is 2 RS-485 (OSDP) and 2 Wiegand readers.
Capacity and functions
