Hikvision DS-KV6124-WBE1 — 4 MP Wi-Fi 6 villa door station with PIN keypad

The DS-KV6124-WBE1 takes the DS-KV6114-WBE1 and adds a keypad. The datasheet's authentication list grows from card, Bluetooth, Hik-Connect and indoor station to include PIN code — useful for a cleaner or a delivery driver who should get in on a code without being issued a card, and for households that do not want to rely on a phone. The camera, radios, relays, capacities and housing match the rest of the line.

This is part of Hikvision's IP video intercom range: door stations, indoor stations and accessories that connect over a standard network (PoE or 12 VDC) and are configured with the iVMS-4200 client or the Hik-Connect app. IP-series products are designed to be used together within that range. A 4 MP door camera with a 150° view

Where most door stations stop at 1080p, the camera here streams up to 4 MP (2688 × 1520), with 2 MP and 1 MP options and a sub stream down to 640 × 480 for phones. The 150° horizontal field of view is wide enough to show a visitor and whoever is standing beside them, or a parcel left at the foot of the door. WDR is rated at 120 dB and the IR supplement reaches about 3 m. Motion detection and playback are supported, and with a microSD card (up to 128 GB, FAT32 or exFAT) the station keeps its own recordings.

Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and Hik-Connect

This generation adds Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) alongside b/g/n on 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth so a resident's phone can open the door as they approach — the datasheet lists card, Bluetooth, Hik-Connect and the indoor station as authentication methods. Cabled sites use the RJ45 with PoE 802.3at. ONVIF and RTSP are supported for adding the camera to a recorder, and the Hik-Connect app takes calls when nobody is by the indoor station.

Same housing, plus the keypad

Plastic front and rear shell with a glass viewing-window panel, surface-mounted at 164 × 69 × 24.7 mm, IP65, -40 °C to 60 °C and under 10 W — identical to the one-button unit, so a keypad can be specified without changing the back box or cable. Three indicators show call, door and status.

Access control built in

Two lock relays rated 30 VDC 2 A mean a door and a gate — or a lock and a secondary release — can hang off one station. There is an exit-button input, a door-contact input, four alarm inputs (the exit button and door contact count among them), an RS-485 port and a tamper switch, plus a 12 VDC 1 A auxiliary output. Local memory holds 2000 users and 6000 M1 cards, read at 13.56 MHz from 2 to 2.5 cm. The station can also call a lift, and it listens for screams, breaking glass and crying within about 3 m as a sound-classification alarm.

Frequently asked questions

How many PIN codes can it store?

The datasheet lists PIN code as an authentication mode and gives 2000 users and 6000 cards as the capacities; it does not state a separate PIN count, so we do not quote one.

Can I use the keypad without an indoor station?

Yes for door release — PIN, card and Bluetooth unlock are handled at the station, and calls can go to the Hik-Connect app. An indoor station is still the usual way to answer the door.

Does it need a PoE switch?

Either PoE (IEEE 802.3at) or a 12 VDC 1.2 A supply. If you rely on Wi-Fi 6 for data, use the 12 VDC supply.

How many cards and users does it hold?

2000 users and 6000 M1 cards, per the datasheet; card reading is 13.56 MHz at 2 to 2.5 cm.

Can it record locally?

Yes — it takes a TF (microSD) card up to 128 GB, FAT32 or exFAT, and supports playback.

Will it work with my existing Hikvision indoor station?
