Hikvision HiLook Beyond CCTV: Alarms, Switches, Monitors and Intercoms

HiLook, Hikvision's value brand, makes far more than cameras. The same Hikvision engineering goes into HiLook wireless alarms, PoE switches, CCTV monitors, smoke detectors and video intercoms. That means you can build a whole home or small-business security system from one maker.

HiLook wireless alarms

A HiLook wireless alarm is a 16-zone, 868MHz system you can set up without running cables. You start with a control panel and add detectors, contacts, sirens and keypads.

• Control panels: the ALARM-A201P-16WE and the ALARM-A201PS-16WE, each with 16 wireless zones.
• Motion detector: the ALARM-D201P10-WE wireless PIR, with pet immunity so a cat or small dog doesn't set it off.
• Door and window contact: the ALARM-D201MC-WE.
• Keypad and keyfob: the ALARM-K201B-WE keypad and the ALARM-KF201-WE 4-button fob.
• Sirens: outdoor ALARM-S201-E-WE in blue or red, and the indoor ALARM-S201-WE.

HiLook PoE and network switches

You need a PoE switch when your NVR has fewer PoE ports than you have IP cameras, or when cameras are a long way from the recorder. The switch powers the cameras and passes their video to the NVR.

Check the total PoE budget (the number after the "P", in watts) covers all the cameras, especially ColorVu and PTZ models, which draw more power. For connecting a recorder to your router without PoE, the NS-0505D and NS-0508D are simple 5- and 8-port gigabit desktop switches.

Wireless bridge: CCTV to an outbuilding

The WB-0FC-2N/O outdoor wireless bridge links two buildings over the air. It is useful for getting a camera on a garage, barn or gatehouse back to the main recorder without digging a trench. Fit them in pairs with a clear line of sight.

HiLook CCTV monitors

A dedicated monitor shows live cameras all day on a reception desk, behind a till or in a security office. HiLook monitors are made for continuous use:

• Hi-D22F2V2FS: 21.5" Full HD with speakers.
• Hi-D24F2V2F: 23.8" Full HD.

Both connect by HDMI or VGA straight to any HiLook NVR or DVR.

HiLook video intercom

HiLook smoke detector

The HL-S3E is a standalone smoke detector with a long-life battery. It works on its own and does not need an alarm panel.

Power for HiLook cameras

HD-TVI and some Wi-Fi cameras need a 12V supply. The ADS-12FG-12N is a 12V 1A UK plug-in adapter for a single camera.
