The Ruijie Reyee RG-EG406XS is a cloud managed router for multi-gigabit networks, with five 2.5G copper ports and a 10GE SFP+ port. Ruijie recommend it for up to 400 concurrent clients.

What the RG-EG406XS is for

The RG-EG406XS is a multi-gigabit router. Throughput is 3500 Mbps in Turbo Mode and 2500 Mbps in Normal Mode, and the five copper ports run from 10 Mbps up to 2.5 Gbps.

It supports up to 100 VPN tunnels for branches and remote employees, multi-WAN load balancing, client recognition and flow control. Ruijie describe a self-organising network, quick setup by app and a scenario-based configuration guide.

It is a desk or rack unit (1 U of rack space). Ruijie list no PoE budget, so any powered devices need a PoE switch or injector.

What you will need

You need an internet line and your own network switches or access points. The 10GE SFP+ port needs a 10G SFP+ module or cable, and Ruijie list none with the router; a 1G SFP module will not run at 10G. No PoE budget is listed, so powered devices need a PoE switch or injector.
